Trees of Righteousness

New Poem

(Written by By Kerri Wickhorst

Sink your roots deep into Gateway's soil, people of Gateway, for it nourishes, cleanses, and refreshes you, growing you into your destiny, each one of you and I we share the destiny of being trees of Righteousness in the forest of our King Jesus, each one has a separate destiny for Him after that.

Watered by Jesus Himself, Our Living Water, the River of God that makes glad all of our hearts, forming itself into a waterfall that waters each of us, we drink deep, receiving waters of mercy, waters of love, waters of healing, provision, all surpassing peace, waters of deliverance and restoration, waters of salvation, drink deep, drink your fill of Living Water, and find refreshment in Him, your and my Living Water, for all your needs -- it is His Delight, Daddy God's Delight to give to you the Kingdom!

The newcomers to Gateway, the Christian prisoners who are to come, not knowing that You, Beloved Holy Spirit, have blasted open their prison doors, that You Beloved Jesus, have broken their every chain, their every entanglement of the enemy, their every evil, heavy and burdensome yoke, and so they sit in the darkness of their prison cells longing for the freedom that is already theirs.

O Christian prisoners awaken, lift up your eyes, for see The Light of Christ is shining upon you, look at your wrists and see your freedom, the chains lie broken at your feet, lift up your heads and feel the lightness of His Yoke upon you, for your old heavy yoke lies smashed in ruins at your feet, you can follow Him again, your leg irons and the chains between them also lie broken at your feet. So rise up, rise up into Your Freedom in Him, pursue Him with all the passion within you, the passion you had from of old as a new Christian, stir up the Fire of the Holy Spirit within you, and walk into your destiny. It's not too late, you're not too old, don't become retired, become re-fired, let your dreams and your destiny begin anew now, right now!

Trees of Righteousness

Background to the poem:

On Gateway's 3rd meeting of fasting and prayer, saw the river of God that makes glad the hearts of all Mankind pouring itself out over Gateway, saw the Christian prisoners who were to come to Gateway as newcomers, and realized that's what I was seeking and believing God for for Gateway, the Trees of Righteousness part came from one of Will Graham's prophecies over Rowan this morning... I declare over Gateway in Jesus' Name that Jesus as our Living Water freely flows, and accomplishes His Father's Will for our destiny as corporate church, we are a place where Christian prisoners walk into the Light of Christ, the Light of their freedom, they are set free, dit happens in Gateway, in Jesus' Name, and Daddy God we thank You for it, Hallelujah! Momma Ruth prophesied at Gateway this morning that I'd write a poem based on what happened this morning, and she was right, this one is especially for you, Momma, because I had no inkling that I'd write a poem this afternoon, until you prophesied, no tingle of excitement, and no words, enjoy...

Dedicated with love and hugs to Momma Ruth, who prophesied it :-)

Restored

How could I have fallen so far,

That was my disbelieving cry,

Your Gentle Conviction rousing me from sin,

My sincere repentance,

The welcome home,

The wonder of Your Mercy impacting me,

Amazing Love!

Oh I know that You came to save us all, Jesus,

Yet I know that if it had just been I

You still would have come to die,

Loving me too much,

as You looked down through history,

To leave me helpless in mud and mire,

Instead You set my heart on fire,

You saw my darkness and shame,

Bringing Your Light and Your Mercy

Exposing the lies,

Breaking the chains,

Blasting open my prison door,

Strongholds cast down by Your Might,

hell’s armies put to flight,

Wrapped in Your Wings, Holy Spirit,

Brimming with the Healing Balm of Gilead,

My broken heart fully mended and free,

Restored to my rightful place in the Heavenlies,

Clothed in Your Robe of Righteousness,

My prayer is to never again leave Your Side,

To hear “Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant,”

As Heaven’s Door opens,

and Earth’s Door closes,

Let me always and forever,

seek and obey Your Will,

Fulfill my destiny, bring others home,

until at last my journey’s end,

To spend Eternity With You,

My Dearest Friend!

Just me, Kerri Wickhorst, only His Pen,

For His Glory alone He’s picked me up and written with me again.

The Fragile Clay

March 17, 2015

I am but the fragile clay and before You came

I was marred by my sin and shame,

You saw me crushed beneath that weight,

My fragile beauty hidden in the dirt and darkness that was so surrounding me,

Chains bound my broken heart,

My walls let in no light.

Until You broke my every chain,

You breached my every wall

Precious Living Water, JESUS You cleansed all my dirt from me,

Your Light overwhelmed my darkness.

So now I'm free and open,

Every chain broken

Walking in Your Light, and Your Power

I've given up my shame for Your Restoration,

My sins paid in full by Your Merciful Sacrifice of Love.

Thanks for restoring this fragile clay,

In that fragility and weakness Your Strength Is Made Perfect,

I'm now simply a humble vessel for Your Light to shine through,

Your Love to pour out from, forevermore.

By me Kerri Wickhorst,

I'm only His Pen,

For His Glory Alone He's Picked Me Up,

And Written with me again,

He's the Author, so I can't boast,

The Father part of Father Son and Holy Ghost.

The Fourth Man

September 6, 2015 at 7:19pm

(Dedicated with much love to Rowan Fraser, whose preaching a few weeks ago on walking through fire and water, helped to bring the words dancing around in my mind to paper in this poem)

I became bound in this fiery trial and as it grew hotter, You came.

Protecting me from the flames

Releasing me to walk free

I held Your Nail-Scarred Hand, and still we walk together

for never would You leave me nor forsake me to the flames,

You love me far too much to ever do that.

Daddy, You wrapped me in Your Wings of Love from the start,

though my tears threatened to drown me, and still do,

You keep my head above water, and comfort me,

I'm not alone, I'm never alone.

Holy Spirit, when I give You this sacrifice of praise from a breaking heart,

You dance with me,

and if I will hold onto Your Promises in this storm,

You restore my joy and

in time will restore this broken heart.

Through restoring and rebuilding my broken marriage as You've promised

Your Loving Presence strengthens me always,

I'm not alone.

Three in One, as we walk, embrace, and dance together,

Through fire, water, and storm,

I'm being changed through this

into the woman I was meant to be from the start.

Even when I've faltered and fallen for a time into old habits and addictions,

You've waited patiently for my cry of repentance

then picked me up,

dusted me off

restoring me to wholeness and

we begin again.

You love me far too much to leave me trapped where I've fallen,

forgiving me and restoring our relationship,

for Your Cross has washed me clean of every sin, Jesus.

You will help me to remember this,

believe in this,

and choose the freedom You paid such a huge price for,

On that lonely tree,

I AM Victorious through Your Loving Sacrifice, Jesus.

Hallelujah and Amen!

I used to think You moved
Like gravity
Up and down
Vertically aloof from
All my places called Familiar
Cold city sidewalks
&
Pasted smiles
Now that you've uprooted
Everything called
Familiar
I realize
365 Chai lattes
Later
You move
Like the wind
Side by side
Hand in hand
To the rhythmic hush
Of quiet sunsets,sunrises
Echoing
Be still
I'm entwining you in grace
It's a dance that must flow
From a rhythm
Of flowers funerals, heartbreak
& betrayal
Gravity has lost its hold
On me
Cuz I
Yes I
I'm walking
On grace filled water
Side by side
Hand in hand
Lost in His rhythm
I've discovered
You're not aloof
Rather like
Cool moist aloes
You embalm
My soul
In stillness

I am lost in all of these desires
Drowning with longing
Because when you're knit together intricately
You will desire
More
Nothing in this world
Will quench
These desires
Sensuality will pale in
Comparison
I've heard it told
This illusive, ideological, and contemplaintive
Lover
Demands to be
Sought after
 Hue Heffner
Didn't catch a glimpse
Of this type of intimacy
You are provocative
You want our
Soul laid bare
On your altar
Consumed by your fire
I can't stand your eyes
I tremble
At being so
Exposed
So naked
It's the cost of wanting
And desiring
More
I can't shield my
Nakedness
And still
Have
You
So eventually
Inch by inch
You will have me
I will cover myself
Deeper
In your blood
I will surrender to your
Thundering
Your voice that causes
Flighty individuals
With doe eyes
To give birth
So I will allow these
Longings
Shallow breaths
5ams
Uncertainties and fears
To uproot me
From
Where I am
Into
I am
